Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. produced its 20 millionth Turbocharger in August 2014.
After its founding in 1988, Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. experienced a stormy growth. In 1989 the company decided to relocate the plant from Harderwijk to Almere, into the new province of Flevoland. Mitsubishi was the first Japanese company in Almere and has (built) a proud history. From one factory with 50 employees in 1989, she is anno 2014 evolved into a complex with five factories and over 700 employees. As a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. evolved into a worldwide organization.
The product group Turbocharger started the production in 1991 and in 2010 the 10 millionth turbocharger rolled of the line. Through a constant growth of projects we have accomplished to produce the twenty millionth turbo in 2014.
With an annual volume of about 4 million turbochargers for the European automotive industry, Mitsubishi hopes to quickly reach the next milestone!
